Welcome to Orca Glass

My love of glass started 25 years ago, when my aunt and uncle took us to see live glassblowing on the Oregon Coast. Ever since, I’ve been enchanted by the beautiful patterns inspired by the local area and the kinds of art that can be made from glass.

Inspiration

Inspiration

I take a lot of my inspiration from my home state of Oregon, and the Pacific Northwest in general, from the rugged and varied coast, to the Cascade Mountains, to the high desert regions. There is also inspiration from the video games, films, and literature that I enjoy.

What I do

What I do

At the current time, I work with fused glass, the process by which various cold glass items are brought to temperature, fusing them together in a single object. In the future, I hope to bring a bit of lampwork to the table, as well as glass blowing. One day I hope to combine the three seperate glass arts into one.
